Most of us at some time in life, we heard the music of Pink Floyd. Roger Waters, Nick Mason, Richard Wright and David Gilmour, were the members that brought this band to fame, and despite the passage of time, linger in the memory of millions of people around the world.
Did you know that at some point, Pink Floyd was a fifth element? Believe it or not, history indicates that it did, say that this is a rather eccentric and special component.
In 1971, Steve Marriott, Humble Pie leader and Small Faces, he asked his friend David Gilmour to take care of his dog Seamus for a couple of days, while on tour.
While
Gilmour's house, Seamus demonstrated his musical talent. Every time this dog was listening to music or someone playing the guitar, howled and barked to the beat of musical chords.
Thanks to this peculiar quality, Seamus became in 1971 the 5 th unofficial member of Pink Floyd, to play with the band a little song of blues, same name, which was included on the album "Meddle" .
The song was written by Roger Waters, David Gilmour, Nick Mason, Richard Wright, and some say that by the first minute you can hear one of the Band members say something like: "Here is the real dog."

was not the first time that Seamus involved in recording a song. Two years ago, Marriott, his owner, included it in the song of the Small Faces, "The Universal" , in which he plays barking.
"Live at Pompeii" was a Pink Floyd concert that took place in Pompeii, Italy in October 1971. On that occasion, Seamus unable to attend, so the daughter of a famous circus director of the resort, Madonna Bouglione, lent his name Afghan dog Nobs, that took the stage.
The dog also became famous thanks to that he worked for in this howling acoustic version of "Seamus" , which was renamed for the occasion "Mademoiselle Nobs" .
